FESTIVAL
Q: Where and when will the festival La Route du Rock take place?
A: The 20th edition of the festival will take place the 13th, 14th and 15th of August in Saint-Malo (Brittany, France) in 4 different places :
- Afternoon: the Bonobo beach (la plage Bons secours in Saint-Malo Intra-Muros),
- Afternoon: Le Palais du Grand Large (in Saint-Malo in front of the famous Plage du Sillon),
- Evening: Le Fort de Saint-Père (on the road Rennes - Saint-Malo, 9 kilomètres from Saint-Malo),
- Night: L’Escalier Club (in Saint-Malo).
Q: Is there a special access for disabled people?
A: The festival propose:
* a car park only for disabled people
* a high deck to offer the best visibility during the gigs
* adapted sanitaries
Q: What are the opening hours of the festival?
A: Every day between 06:30 pm to 03:30 am.
Q: What is the best way to get updated information about possible changes in the programme?
A: The best way to have all the information about the evolutions of our line up is to subscribe to the newsletter, or to go regularly on our website, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
New! For the lucky owners of Iphone and Ipod Touch, we have just created an application which will inform you, wherever you are, about line up changings. You will find this application on Apple Store.
Q: How can I be informed about the concerts timetable?
A: The timetable will be published on the website, Facebook, Twitter, and the Iphone / Ipod application.


LINE UP
Q: When does the full line up will be known?
A: The full line up is generally announced at the end of June.


TICKETS
Q: When will the tickets be on sale?
A: Tickets are on sale since May the 3rd (Fnac, Ticketnet and Digitick).
Q: Is the access free for children?
A: The entrance is free to the Fort de Saint-Père for children under 12 coming with their parents. However, don’t forget that the sound level is quite high and not recommended to young children as their ears are pretty much sensitive than the adult ones. We also want to remind you than there is no kids area or playground in the site.


CAMPING
Q: Is there any camping area in the site?
A: The festival offers a free camping area next to the site (with sanitaries and cloakroom) to all the festival-goers, even for those coming just for one day (please notice that controls will take place at the entrance of the campsite). Camping cars and other camping vehicles won’t be permitted in the campsite.
The campsite will be open from Friday 10 am to Monday 12 pm.
Q: Can we find electric receptacles on the campsite?
A: Yes, there are several electric receptacles (220V) at the entrance of the campsite.


VARIOUS INFORMATIONS
Q: Are we allowed to take pictures during concerts?
A: The non-professional cameras, as digital compacts, are allowed in our festival.
Q: Is there any buses?
A: The festival furnishes free buses. Thanks to them, festival goers can reach Saint-Malo to the Fort de Saint-Père. They will stop at Le Palais du Grand Large, the train station (SNCF), the Cora supermarket and the Fort de Saint-Père.
They will run both side every 30 minutes from Friday to Sunday from 12 pm to 05 am and Monday from 08 am to 12 pm.
Q: Can I leave the festival site and get back in?
A: No. For obvious safety reasons, once you have left the site, you can’t go back in.
Q: What is forbidden in the site?
A: Every glass bottles (alcohol or not. Plastic water bottles are permitted - water points will be available for the festival goers use).
Weapons, explosive substances, and generally every dangerous object (knives, or objects likely to be used as projectile), fireworks…
Every flags, signs, banners from political, ideological, religious, or promotional type.
Q: What are the different services for festival goers use?
A: Near the main entrance, you will find a relaxing area half-covered.
Free campsite with sanitaries open between Friday, 14th at 10 am, to Monday, 17th at 02 am.
Free car park.
Free shuttles bus between the festival, Le Palais du Grand Large, Bonobo beach, the train station (SNCF), the Cora supermarket and the Fort de Saint-Père.
Catering and bars.
Toilets on the site (including women ones).
Free cloakroom.
Cash machine Société Générale.
Q: Can I find ear plugs?
A: Yes, they will be distributed for free.
Q: Is there a medical team?
A: Members from the Red Cross will be present to help you whenever you need them.
Q: What can I do if I loose or find any item?
A: You can leave or take this item at the information desk which you can find at the main entrance. The objects which won’t be asked for will be given to the town hall of Saint-Père just after the event.
Q: If I have a problem, is there a security post where I can get help?
A: You will be able to find security and medical staff all around the festival site. If you have any problem you can talk to them.
Q: Are the pets allowed on the site ?
A: No, for obvious sanitary and safety reasons.
Q: May I distribute flyers or any promotionnals posters in the site?
A: Every project of that type has to be previously approved by the festival team.


VOLUNTEERING
Q: It is possible to volunteer at the festival?
A: If you want to volunteer for us, you have to be over 18, and to fill this application form.
